A full day of discovery awaits at Sequim's original lavender farm, reimagined
Lit Lavender isn't a stop along the way — it's the reason you came. From the moment you step onto our grounds, the lavender-scented air, the gentle bleating of baby goats, and the sweep of purple stretching toward the Olympic Mountains tell you this is a place to slow down and savor. Whether you stay for an hour or linger all day, every corner of the farm holds something worth discovering.
There is something deeply satisfying about walking the rows yourself — the hum of bees overhead, the sun warming your shoulders, the fragrance rising with every step. At Lit Lavender, over 1,500 mature plants spread across heritage varieties, each one carefully tended since the farm's earliest days.
We hand you garden shears and a ribbon, and the rest is yours. Choose from English, French, and hybrid varieties. Cut as much or as little as you like. Your entry includes a generous bundle to take home — dried, it will carry the memory of this day for months to come.
No visit to Lit Lavender is complete without meeting the smallest members of the family. Our Nigerian Dwarf goats are perpetually curious, endlessly photogenic, and absolutely determined to win your heart. They'll nuzzle your hand, hop across their play structures, and pose for more photos than most influencers.
Nearby, our heritage chickens roam freely, scratching through the grass with a calm dignity that perfectly balances the goats' boundless energy. Families love this part of the farm — children especially find it hard to leave.
Settle into the rhythm of the farm. There's no rush here — only the gentle pace of lavender and sunlight.
Our farm-themed 18-hole mini golf course winds through gardens, past lavender beds, and around playful obstacles inspired by life on the farm. It's challenging enough for the competitive and whimsical enough for the youngest players — the kind of course where everyone ends up laughing.
After your round, try your luck at our claw machines, stocked with lavender-themed prizes and plush farm animals. It's a small thrill that rounds out an already full afternoon.
Step up to our outdoor throwing lanes and test your aim. Whether you're a first-timer or seasoned thrower, our lanes are set up for a great time under the shade sails. A favorite with groups and families.
Join one of our guided walks through the fields and learn what makes Sequim's rain shadow microclimate so extraordinary for growing lavender. Our team shares nearly three decades of knowledge — from soil science to distillation, from plant varieties to the surprising history of this corner of Washington.
Every tour ends with a tasting. Sample seasonal lavender-infused treats and discover why this simple plant has captivated people for centuries. It's education that feels more like a leisurely afternoon with friends.
We came for an hour and stayed all day. The lavender fields, the baby goats, the mini golf — it was the most unexpectedly perfect family day we've ever had.— A Lit Lavender Visitor
Here's how we'd spend a perfect day on the farm — but honestly, the best plan is no plan at all
Start your visit when the dew is still on the lavender and the light is soft. Pick up your shears at the Farm Shop, then head into the rows for U-pick. Take your time — the morning hours are the most fragrant.
After the morning's gentler pace, bring a little friendly competition to the afternoon. Challenge someone to mini golf, then spread a blanket and settle into one of our picnic areas with mountain views.
The farm is designed for lingering. Bring a blanket or claim a shaded table.
Tables and open lawn areas with views of the lavender fields and Olympic Mountains. Bring your own food or pick up treats at the Farm Shop.
Every row, every turn, every corner of the farm is a photograph waiting to happen. Golden hour here is genuinely extraordinary.
Handcrafted lavender oils, soaps, sachets, and seasonal treats. Everything is made with lavender grown right here on the farm.
