  • Dungeness Spit (10 mins): 5.5-mile sand spit leading to a lighthouse. Walk a little or hike the whole thing. You’ll see eagles, seals, and seabirds.

  • Railroad Bridge Park / Olympic Discovery Trail (5 mins): Access this flat, paved trail from the historic trestle bridge just minutes away. Great for bikes, kids, strollers, and dogs.

  • Sequim Bay State Park (12 mins): Shaded forest trails, beach access, and picnic areas. Peaceful and less trafficked.

  • Morse Creek Trail (30 mins): Beautiful, paved section of the ODT along a coastal creek just outside Port Angeles.

🏔 Moderate & Scenic Hikes

  • Marymere Falls (40 mins): 1.8-mile forest trail with bridges and a dramatic 90-ft waterfall at the end. Located near Lake Crescent.

  • Spruce Railroad Trail (45 mins): Hugging Lake Crescent’s north shore, this flat but dramatic trail winds past cliffs, tunnels, and swimming spots.

  • Hurricane Hill (1 hr): Short but steep alpine hike at Hurricane Ridge. Wildflowers and Olympic views galore.

  • Gray Wolf Trail (45 mins): Peaceful forest hike along the river. Excellent for solitude and old-growth beauty.

🌲 Deeper Adventures

  • Hoh Rainforest (2 hrs): Lush, primeval rainforest with moss-draped trees and elk sightings. A world away from Sequim’s sunshine.

  • Sol Duc Falls (1.5 hrs): Powerful waterfall and a gateway to longer backpacking trails.

  • Mount Storm King (1 hr): A steep, advanced trail with rope sections and a jaw-dropping view over Lake Crescent—worth the burn.

  • Olympic Game Farm (12 mins): Drive-thru wildlife safari where you can feed llamas, bison, zebras, and yaks right from your car window. A Sequim institution!

  • Dungeness River Nature Center (5 mins): Learn about river ecology, salmon runs, and Native history. Trails, exhibits, and kid-friendly education.

  • Jardin du Soleil & Purple Haze Lavender Farms: Other lavender farms worth visiting for variety (though we think Lit Lavender is the best).

  • Victor the Viking’s Mini Donkey Farm (seasonal): Yes, there’s a guy named Victor with mini donkeys. Ask a local.

🌽 U-Pick & Agricultural Adventures

  • Graysmarsh Berry Farm (8 mins): U-pick strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and more in season.

  • Nash’s Organic Farm (10 mins): Certified organic produce, flour mill, grocery market, and seasonal events.

  • U-pick Pumpkin Patches (fall): Keep an eye out in October—there are multiple local farms offering hayrides and fall fun.

🏖 Best Beaches Near Sequim

  • Cline Spit (12 mins): Local beach hangout with boat launch and gentle bay views. Great for skipping rocks and sunset photos.

  • Port Williams (15 mins): Rocky beach with driftwood, tide pools, and birdwatching.

  • Salt Creek Recreation Area (50 mins): Stunning tide pools at Tongue Point. Great surfing spot too.
